Background
My name is Maxx Smith, I am a Canadian Cannabis Cultivator, Enthusiast and Advocator. I've grown up in various parts of Canada and the world due to my family's active efforts in our armed forces.
I've started my cannabis journey in late 2019 when I undertook a post graduate diploma in commercial cannabis production at Niagara College. By implementing the knowledge I cultivated from my university degree in conjunction with the real life applications of cannabis production on a commercial scale I've been able to demonstrate my knowledge, experience and technical skills in all aspects of production.
I began my career in the cannabis industry with Glasshouse Botanics located in Pembroke, Ontario. I've climbed my way from starting as a technician with boots on the ground all the way to becoming a subject matter expert in automated irrigation solutions and environmental management in under three years. I have taken part in numerous pesticide sprays and biological applications and have successfully taken part in hundreds of cloning, transplant and harvesting events.
I find my passion with cannabis lies within the background of operations. I thoroughly enjoy being apart of a system that is not directly recognized. I love setting up dominoes (setting my team and others for success) and watching them fall (seeing goals and targets being met). I would compare my passion with cannabis similar to the participation of Canada in international crises. Canada participates heavily in the moment but is often not recognized for the pivotal role they play. I would call myself a gray man. I participate in projects and solve problems and once they are solved I look to the next project to be able to provide high quality, reliable and trustworthy pharmaceutical products
